TORNADO!!!

I usually think nothing of tornado warnings b/c we live in tornado alley, so we get warnings CONSTANTLY and they are usually just warnings that amount to "nothing." Well, yesterday was different. My small community was struck and struck hard. Thank God that me and my family are all okay. So far, there are 16 confirmed deaths, w/ many more in critical condition! We took a short drive today to look around and I had to snap a few pictures. In this area, they are calling the devastation "mild" compared to the rest of the area. Most highways are closed down, so we can't see those areas yet.

All the trees were just uprooted completely. It looked like this the whole way down the highway. Huge trees, just picked up out of the ground.




This is our local bridal boutique, where I bought my wedding dress. Some random stuff ended up where it used to be. Now, it looks more like a farm used to be there. LOL



Where a house used to be...nothing at all left!!!



Hold your kids a little longer today and thank God that you have them!!!
